Silas Muriungi Mukangu is an accomplished humanitarian, pan Africanist, multilingual, and public health professional with a global career dedicated to improving lives. He brings extensive expertise in managing healthcare programs, training, and addressing the needs of vulnerable populations, consistently demonstrating a deep understanding of community health and an ability to navigate complex challenges.

Throughout his career, Silas has held pivotal roles, including serving as a Primary Health Delegate for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in conflict-affected regions like South Sudan, Afghanistan, Mali, Ethiopia, Syria, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. In these challenging environments, he oversaw healthcare programs for tens of thousands of individuals, managed substantial budgets, and led diverse teams. His work involved conducting needs assessments, evaluating healthcare systems, and ensuring program efficiency, complemented by strong diplomacy and advocacy in stakeholder engagements.

As the HIV Workplace Coordinator for Africa and Asia, Silas supervised regional healthcare programs across 13 countries. He enhanced staff health benefits, designed reproductive health training, and spearheaded program evaluations, collaborating closely with ministries and NGOs to address systemic gaps and ensure sustainable improvements in healthcare delivery.
